Floral Notes

As cliche as it sounds, the beach is my happy place. Something about the waves & salt air (even when it makes my hair a crazy hot mess) is so calm and soothing to me. I'm pretty sure in a another life I lived at the beach, or was a mermaid, or something...

John's mother & stepfather have a beautiful place in Bethany Beach right on the canal & is just a few minutes walking distance from the center of town. Bethany is a great combination of beach, restaurants & fun -- the perfect destination for families during the summer. We love grabbing ice cream from Maureen's, and a slice of pizza from Grotto's is a Delaware beach must-have. We have a few Grotto's up north, but ask any Delaware native....there's just something different & better about Grotto's at the beach!

OK clearly I'm hungry & want pizza...

I have been seeing floral maxi dresses everywhere, and when I came across this one I fell in love. It's easy, lightweight, not clingy (perfect after a few slices of pizza ;) ) and who could NOT love these little pompom details?! I've linked it below along with a few other dresses I love.
