Well I got what I wished for -- that fall weather came and it has been CHILLY. And rainy. What's up with this Joaquin hurricane character anyway? Doesn't he know I want to be apple picking instead of clinging to my broken umbrella in high-speed winds?
Before the incredibly rainy, windy 50-degree weather set in, John & I decided to walk into town last weekend and bring Maddie girl with us. Coming back we wandered to an area a few blocks from our house called Gibraltar, a beautiful garden that holds some of our best memories. We had our engagment & wedding photos done there (we're last minute planning people, what can I say), so we thought it might be nice to take Maddie there for a little....and snap some pics, of course.
I mentioned previously that I have a newfound love for button downs, especially in the colder months. Maybe it's the 13 years of Catholic school in me, maybe it's because pink gingham is really cute, I don't know.
HAPPY WEEKEND, and if you happen to live in a non-hurricane area and go apple picking....send a few my way. I wouldn't be mad if you threw in a few apple cider donuts too.
